Professor Marc R. Poirier Memorial Scholarship

Established in memory of Professor Marc R. Poirier, a beloved Seton Hall Law faculty member and scholar of civil rights, property, and environmental law. The scholarship provides annual financial assistance to deserving law students who exemplify academic excellence and a commitment to advancing civil rights or environmental justice. Awards are applied toward tuition and fees for eligible students in their final year of law school.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a rising 3L student at Seton Hall University School of Law
  • Must have demonstrated academic success
  • Preference given to students with financial need
  • Must show a commitment to a legal career in Civil Rights or Environmental Justice, or have personally been affected by related issues
  • Must submit a resume and personal statement with the application
