Frank Rubino Endowed Scholarship
Established through a bequest from the estate of Frank Rubino ’64, this scholarship honors a proud Seton Hall alumnus, U.S. Army veteran, and lifelong actuary whose education and service shaped a life of purpose, global curiosity, and achievement. A graduate in mathematics and former ROTC participant, Frank carried his Seton Hall experience into military service abroad and a distinguished professional career. Reflecting his love of world travel and deep connection to Italian culture, the scholarship supports students pursuing STEM degrees while encouraging engagement in Italian studies.
Priority will be given to students with demonstrated financial need, as determined by the Office of Financial Aid, after academic and programmatic eligibility criteria are met.

- Applicant must be an undergraduate or graduate student at Seton Hall University.
- Applicant must be pursuing a degree in a STEM field, including but not limited to mathematics, physics, chemistry, biochemistry, computer science, or engineering.
- Applicant must be in good academic standing.
- Applicant must meet at least one Italian studies criterion listed in preferences.
Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate one or more of the following, in the order listed:
- Participation in Italian studies research, including collaboration with universities in Italy or Italian cultural organizations in the United States.
- Active participation in the Italian Student Union or programs of the Charles and Joan Alberto Italian Studies Institute.
- Pursuit of a minor in Italian Studies.
- Completion of at least two semesters of Italian language coursework or an approved equivalent program.
